The good thing about SN is the fact that you don't need thousands of figures to play 'big' games. Small numbers of figures represent large bodies of troops. My infantry are based two figures to a base but these will be blocked together to form 2 x 4 figure bases.
Similarly, my cavalry are individually based. For SN 2 x figures will form a 'base', two bases forming the Brigade.
Yep, that's pretty much similar to how we use our 28mm troops fro SN - 2 bases of 3-4 infantry, or 2 bases of 2 cavalry each (or one base of 1 gun and 3-4 crew). As you say, with an infantry base representing about 2,000 men, 50 bases (25 units) = 150 to 200 figures represents 100,000 men! The ratio is less for infantry, but the same effect is there.
ReplyDeleteEven if you Zoom in one level (factor of 2), those same figures will still represent 50.000 men!
Great looking hussars!
