Today I came to the decision that I really wasn't happy with my table. Those who are keeping track with my project will know that originally I made my table with polystyrene sheeting inserted into a timber frame and topped with a Woodlands Scenics grass mat. After a week of trying endlessly to get the mat to adhere to the polystyrene using every glue type known to man without the mat bubbling or simply failing to stick I finally lost my temper with it this morning and ripped the mat off and binned it!
After calming down I removed the polystyrene sheets and lined the frame with MDF . I'm now making plans for the actual playing surface but more about this later.. I'll pop a few pictures up shortly of the work in progress.

Hi Steve,
ReplyDeleteNot cheap those scenic mats, sorry to read about that, but I can understand your frustration! Look forward to seeing what you do next.
Cheers,
Lee.
