Well, the work on the gaming room is progressing and I'm still on target to finish by the end of January 2012.
The insulation is almost complete with just the top section of the roof to finish before I can start fixing the plasterboards...
It really is beginning to feel like a room at last and I'm really looking forward to getting a table built in here.
I can already feel the benefit of the insulation. The room is beginning to feel a lot warmer even with the gaps in the partition wall. Once the removable panels are fitted and the plasterboards installed I'm quite sure the room will be quite warm enough during the Winter months. As for Summer who knows?.. The boards are designed to trap internal heat and deflect external heat so I'll let you know later in 2012 if this is indeed the case!

The gap in the partition wall will be filled with a removable panel and this will be to allow us access to the 'junk' section of the loft. I've also repeated this on the other end of the room.
Just the apex of the roof to square off and insulate and we're ready to plasterboard. |
That's all for now and as this will probably be my last posting before Christmas I'd like to thank all the followers of my drivel and to wish them and all of you just passing by a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
All the best,
Steve

@ Lee & Paul;
ReplyDeleteCheers for the comments. I'm very pleased with it so far and once done I can hopefully devote a bit more time during 2012 to the actual hobby rather than DIY!
All the very best to you both for the New Year.
Steve, Have a great holiday and keep up the excellent paintwork
